Background information
A dot painting is defined by its distinctive technique: making repeated imprints of paint with a brush, dotting stick, or similar tool onto the canvas, creating recognizable “dot” marks. These individual dots come together to form the final image, giving the artwork its characteristic appearance.
Chameleons are fascinating reptiles renowned for their ability to change color, a skill used for communication, temperature regulation, and camouflage. Native primarily to Africa and Madagascar, with some species in Asia and Europe, they thrive in diverse habitats such as rainforests, savannas, and mountainous regions. Their arboreal lifestyle is supported by specialized zygodactylous feet, enabling a secure grip on branches, and prehensile tails for balance. Chameleons possess independently mobile eyes, granting them a 360-degree field of vision without moving their heads. Their long, sticky tongues can rapidly extend to capture prey like insects. These unique adaptations make chameleons highly adept at navigating their environments and evading predators.
