The kiss is a painting that the Austrian painter Gustav Klimt made in the period 1907-1908. The painting became world-famous in the flower power era and has since been widely depicted on postcards and posters. The illustration shows a large man kissing a woman on the cheek. The man wears a robe with angular symbols, and the woman’s clothes show round characters. The couple is standing on the edge of an abyss in a field full of flowers. It is unknown whether Klimt had a symbolic intention in this regard.
